Thomas H. Shawker, M.D. and Patricia O’Brien Shawker, CG will be the featured speakers at the Colorado Genealogical Society’s (CGS) annual seminar on 20-21 Febrruary 2009.

Friday night’s program will take place during the Society’s regular meeting held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2300 S. Patton Court, Denver, 7-9 pm. Dr. Shawker will speak on “Genealogy and Your Health.” The meeting is free and open to the public.

Saturday’s program will be held at the Denver Public Library Conference Center, 13th and Broadway, Denver. The cost of the all day seminar is a $30 materials fee per person, with an optional lunch offered.

• Race Ethnicity, and Ancestry: DNA Testing

The topics to be presented by Patricia Shawker are:

• One Family’s Foot print in the Federal Records

On Saturday, 1 November 2008, the Computer Interest Group (CIG) of the Colorado Genealogical Society will host “Enhancing Your Use of Computers and Software for Genealogy and Family History.”

Colorado Chapter, Palatines to America (CO-PAL-AM) is having their Fall All-Day Seminar on Saturday, 25 October 2008. The event will feature key speaker, Dr. Roland Paul of the Kaierlauten Archives.
