This year the Swedish Genealogical Society of Colorado and the Community College of Aurora will be co-sponsoring a Swedish Family Research Fair. The fair will take place on Saturday, 4 October 2008 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The fair will feature lectures, an exhibit hall, and research assistance sessions.

8:30 am – 9 am, Registration and Coffee

9:00 am – 10:30 am, “Trace Your Swedish Heritage Online using Genline and New Features in Genline’s
FamilyFinder” presented by Kathy Meade, Geneline U.S. Respresentative

11:00 am – 12:00 pm, “Using Online Catalogs and Online Websites To Access International Genealogical Resources” presented by Jay Devaughn, Director of Library Services, Community College of Aurora.

Lunch- Order your lunch (see registration form) or “brown bag” it.

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm, “Finding Your Swedish Roots Using Genline: A step-by-step presentation of real case studies” presented by Kjell S. Andersson, SGSC Member.

3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, “Swedish Military Research” presented by Lenora Lynam, McPherson County Old Mill Museum, Lindsborg, Kansas.

The seminar will held at the Community College of Aurora, CentreTech Campus, Fine Arts Building and parking is free. Registration is $25 (postmarked by 19 September); $30 (after 19 September) and Lunch is $12.
