Joanne Classen service this Saturday

Many long-time patrons of Denver Public Library’s genealogy department, as well as genealogists active in the Colorado community, have been saddened to hear of the passing of Joanne Classen, who died 17 May 2008 at the age of 78.

Joanne’s obituary appeared in the Denver Post, 25 May 2008, page 10B, and is available online at “Joanne Classen.”

There will be special services for her Saturday, 31 May 2008, at 11:00am, Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 East Alameda in Denver.

Joanne served in many genealogical organizations, holding key positions in the Colorado Chapter of Palatines to America, the Colorado Genealogical Society, and the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies. She was known for her steadfast dedication, knowledge, and experience.
