And the winner is. . .
On 1 February 2008, we reported that Rocky Mountain PBS was sponsoring a contest to give one African-American resident of Colorado a free DNA test. This contest was in conjunction with the special, African American Lives 2 .
Nakia Black, a Glendale resident, is the winner. She has chosen a mtDNA (mitochondrial) test kit.
The announcement was posted to the Rocky Mountain PBS social networking Web site, Panorama, on Tuesday. The entire article and comments can be found here “Tracing your family’s genealogy.”
