Colorado Chapter, Palatines to America (CO-PALAM) is having their Fall All-Day Seminar on Saturday, 27 October 2007. The event will feature key speaker, Martin A. Diestler. Martin is the past president of Palatines to America, a retired attorney, and is a veteran researcher in Europe and the United States.

Morning Schedule:

    8:30 - Registration and coffee.

    9:00-10:20 - “What I’ve Always Wanted to Know About German Research, but . . .” a discussion moderated by Bill Nix.

    9:00-10:20 - “Beginning German Genealogy” presented by Ann Lisa Pearson.

    10:30-12:00 - “Genealogical Jurisdiction: Avoiding those everlasting area searches” presented by Martin A. Diestler.

Afternoon Schedule:

    1:00-2:30 - “Causes and Courses of Emigration: Restrictions, Obligations and Legal Constraints” presented by Martin A. Diestler.

    2:34-4:45 - “Germanic Military Systems” present by Martin A. Diestler.

Place: Holiday Inn - Lakewood, 7390 W. Hampden (S. E. Corner of Wadsworth and W. Hampden).

Cost for the seminar is $35 members, $45 non-members. The Annual Dinner Meeting will follow the seminar and will feature Herbert Schemmerling as the speaker. Pre-registration is necessary.
