The most recent edition of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly (Volume 94, No. 3, September 2006) contains an impressive article authored by Colorado genealogist Julie Potter Miller, CG. Her article is titled “The Three Wives of Philip Hart of Goffstown, New Hampshire.” Julie’s research began with a town history, a common genealogical resource. The story of her follow-up research provides a guide showing how we can proceed when undocumented sources are our point of beginning.

Julie Miller has also been elected to the National Genealogical Society’s board of directors. She will serve as Director-at-Large beginning in October of 2006 and will serve for 4 years.

Julie is an active member of the Colorado genealogical community: she writes a monthly genealogy column for the Broomfield Enterprise, has served as an officer for several societies, and is the Information Officer for the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies. She is a member of the Records Access and Preservation Committee, a joint FGS/NGS national committee which monitors legislative actions affecting genealogical records. Julie, a well-organized and industrious genealogist, will be an asset to NGS.
