As reported on 9 March 2006, the Computer Interest Group of the Colorado Genealogical Society (CIG) is featuring Beau Sharbough as the speaker for a seminar on 11 & 12 September.

Beau has been a popular lecturer and writer on the technical aspects of genealogy since 2000. He writes a column for Ancestry Magazine and contributes to Ancestry Today.

The events scheduled are:

Monday, 11 September 2006

“Ancestry Today,” presented at the regular membership meeting at 7:00 pm (free)

Tuesday, 12 September, 2006

10:00 am: “Getting the Most From Ancestry.com”

11:30 am: “Rootsweb: The Best-Kept Secret in Genealogy”

12:30 pm: Lunch (available for purchase or bring your own)

2:00 pm: “Online Databases: Fact or Fiction”

Both events will be held at the regular CIG meeting place, Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2300 S. Patton Ct., Denver.

Registration for Tuesday is $15 for CIG members and $20 for non-CIG members.
