After years of complaints from genealogists and consumers, Colorado has filed suit against Morphcorp, LLC. On 23 November 2005, Attorney General John Suthers issued an announcement giving details about the lawsuit and linking to a complaint form which dissatisfied customers can fill out and send in.

According to the Colorado Secretary of State, Morphcorp was incorporated on 16 March 1994 (see copy of organization papers).
